Throwback - When Vijay jumped between DMK and ADMK!
Vijay had a close bonding with the DMK party and he was acting under red Giant movie Pictures banner, sun Pictures banner, and others related to the DMK party. But, when jayalalitha came to the throne, he immediately jumped to ADMK and met her along with his father SAC and congratulated her. But, jayalalitha herself banned his movie 'Thalaivaa' in tamil Nadu just because that movie had the tagline "Time to Lead" on the posters.
The release never happened only in tamil Nadu and pondicherry as the Late chief minister got offended by the "Time to Lead" tag under the movie title. Even the producer Chandraprakash Jain cried before the press and conveyed how much loss he incurred as the movie never got a release on time in tamil Nadu. Later, the permission was granted but the entertainment tax was denied by the ADMK Government.
When Vijay tried to meet cm jayalalitha he wasn't even granted permission and finally Vijay posted an apology video with folded hands on the YouTube channel. As the movie got released overseas, 'Thalaivaa' movie pirated CDs also came in tamil Nadu, and finally, the movie flopped so bad. Now, as DMK is back to rule, Vijay is acting for 'Beast' under sun Pictures again.
