What a low! Neech Kamine Joke On KGF

G GOWTHAM
Presumably when invited to sit and discuss films on a subject, directors feel more knowledgeable than they actually are. They seem to have an instant sense of superiority. Controversy has been sparked by director venkatesh Maha's bizarre behaviour at a Youtube Round Table interview. Directors Nandini Reddy, Indraganti Mohana Krishna, shiva Nirvana, and vivek Athreya are also featured in the conversation.

On prashant Neel's kgf 2, venkatesh Maha, a comedian with one and a half films under his belt (the second being a remake), was making a joke. He reportedly thinks it's strange because the mother of the protagonist encourages him to become an exploiter as he amasses wealth by taking advantage of the kgf residents who hardly give him anything. He refers to the protagonist as Neech Kamine Kutte. When describing this, venkatesh maha was extremely enthusiastic and angry, as if he had a rivalry with prashant Neel and was relishing picking apart the success of the movie.

It's not his opinion of kgf that's the problem here; it's how he articulated it and the words he used. The majority of commercial movies have boring plots. And speaking about films made by venkatesh Maha, they also take logical liberties. Because prashant Neel is not a telugu director, why was he acting so casually about it? Can he really be so hostile or scathing of a few dumb commercial films in telugu starring leading telugu actors?

Directors who strive for moral rectitude in their films mock other directors in a similar manner because they believe it is secure that they speak a different language. Even more tragic is the fact that other directors are thoroughly enjoying the joke. shiva Niravana, at least, felt uneasy at one point, but Viveka Athreya, Nandini Reddy, and Indraganti, along with the seniors, were literally laughing themselves silly. So sad!
