Supermoon 2022: Biggest moon of this year!!

Supermoon 2022: The biggest supermoon of the year 2022 will happen on the 13th of this month. Due to the small distance between the Earth and the moon, the moon will look much bigger.

The moon is a satellite of the Earth and revolves around it. Due to the rotation, the distance of the Earth from the moon keeps on increasing. This is the reason that the data-size of the moon visible to humans from Earth keeps on seeing small and big. When the full moon is visible, this event is called a supermoon. This year, the biggest supermoon of the year will be seen on Wednesday, July 13. This is going to happen because the moon will come very close to the Earth. There is a lot of discussion about this incident among astronomical scientists and people interested in science.

Scientists estimate that on July 13, the distance between the moon and the Earth will be only 3,57,264 km. It is expected that the full moon can be seen from different parts for several days. The moon constantly exerts a gravitational influence on the Earth, so coming closer to it can increase the height of the tides in the oceans and an increase in the time of the tides can also be seen. It is being speculated that due to the strong waves coming on some beaches, there may be flood-like situation on the shores.

What is Supermoon?

'Super' does not mean anything in this incident. The only thing that happens is that the moon will look completely large and its brightness will also be much more than the rest of the days. This happens because the moon gets very close while orbiting the Earth in its orbit. This event is called 'Perigee' in English.

The term supermoon was first used by richard Knowle in 1979. Let us tell you that the average distance between the moon and the Earth is more than four lakh kilometers, but this time on the occasion of supermoon, this distance will be around 3.5 lakh kilometers. This event is also called 'Buck Moon'. The next such event will happen on July 3, 2023. The last supermoon of this year happened in june this year. At that time the distance between the Earth and the moon was 3,63,300 km.
