In Odisha, 26 children in the age group of 1 to 9 years have been affected by tomato flu. Children below the age of 10 years are falling in the grip of tomato flu, due to which the concern about tomato flu is increasing among the people. In such a situation, it is necessary to have information about tomato flu.

What are the symptoms of tomato flu?

Due to Tomato Flu, red boils like tomatoes start coming out on the body, along with this pain, skin rashes and weakness start feeling in the body. In the beginning, due to tomato flu, problems like fever, feeling of swelling in the throat, inability to eat etc. problems arise. Recently the center has issued a notification regarding hand foot and mouth disease or tomato flu, according to which tomato flu is a clinical variant of hand foot and mouth disease which affects school going children more.

To stay away from tomato flu, it is very important to pay attention to cleanliness. Children's toys should be sanitized regularly and it should be taken care that your children should not share their food, toys and clothes etc. with any infected child. Often children put everything in their mouth, so dirty and infected things go inside them, due to which tomato flu affects young children more.
