On Saturday, Union health Secretary bhushan said that despite being vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine, he was infected with Omicron.
He said 91 per cent of those infected with Omicron were vaccinated.
Fears have been high among the public since the announcement.
They are also concerned that the vaccine may not protect against this variant.
But there is no need for people to worry, said a senior doctor from Delhi.
Oxygen and Steroids are not required.
Lok nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) hospital senior doctor Dr suresh Kumar said that Omicron infected patients recovered without any medication.
He is currently the Managing director of LNGP Hospital.
He was speaking to the media in the wake of growing panic among the people over the Omicron variant.
A total of 51 Omicron patients were admitted to their hospital.
About 40 of them said they had successfully recovered from Corona and were discharged.
The vast majority of patients infected with Omicron reported no symptoms.
He said there was no need to give oxygen to those patients.
It was clarified that they were not given any drugs or remedies with steroids.
They all recovered and went home safely.
So there is no need for people to worry.
It was also suggested that everyone should abide by the Corona rules.
He was told to wear a mask following physical distance.
He said he had to wash his hands frequently.
