Do you have signs like High fever or a Cough?

There has been a noticeable increase in influenza in several regions of India, which typically leaves patients with debilitating congestion that lasts days or even weeks. The H3N2, which has been widely spread for the past two to three months, results in a chronic cough and may occasionally be followed by fever.

The increase in cases has alarmed the public, who are now using antibiotics indiscriminately to safeguard themselves. However, the indian Medical Association (IMA) has issued a strong warning against the unprescribed use of medicines.

When speaking to the news agency, an ICMR scientist said: "People start taking antibiotics like azithromycin and amoxiclav etc. without caring about how often they take them and cease once they start feeling better.

As a result of this, there will be an increase in antibiotic tolerance. Antibiotics won't function in any situation where they are actually needed because of resistance.

According to the World health Organization, the rise in flu cases in the nation coincides with a corresponding rise in the West between september and January, with many regions experiencing such infections returning to the numbers usually observed prior to the pandemic. Flu viruses A(H1N1)pdm09, A(H3N2), and B circulated during this time, though the proportions varied across nations. Most nations saw more influenza A viral detections than influenza B.
