Utter Disbelief and Shock Zoom lays off Head...

Christy Flis lost her job as a result of Zoom's recently disclosed effort to fire over 1,300 workers; she would have served the company for eight years by next week.

Next week, Flis, who had been at Zoom for eight years, posted an emotional message on LinkedIn. She reflected on what she and her team accomplished at the San Jose-based firm and said in the article, "I can't believe I'm writing this or that this is really happening."

Additionally, Flis expressed her sympathy for her fellow "Zoomies" who had lost their employment and praised her customers, partners, friends, and employees for helping to "produce pure enchantment in a world that wants to believe in a scarcity and fear centred worldview."

Flis has informed her network that she is now available for speaking engagements and to help their organisations succeed, just like she did at Zoom. Flis, who is headquartered in Santa Barbara and is seeking a new beginning, has made this announcement to her network.

She concluded by thanking CEO and Founder Eric Yuan. Today was difficult, and I had to write while crying. I don't comprehend. I adore you, Eric S. Yuan, and I'm grateful for your leadership. Thank you for creating such an amazing platform, and I hope this is only a temporary shift rather than a goodbye," Flis said, adding that Zuan is aware that she would "come back in a heartbeat" if circumstances altered to make this possible.

Yuan, who accepted responsibility for the layoffs but termed them as a "difficult but necessary" step, as well as the other members of his executive leadership team, will receive a considerable wage cut. The Chinese-American billionaire will forgo his FY23 corporate bonus and lower his pay for the upcoming fiscal year by 98%. On the other hand, his team will lose their FY23 corporate bonuses in addition to having their base wages cut by 20% for the same time period.
