Top executives of state-run punjab National bank will get Rs 2 lakh every year for mobile handsets. It does not include GST. This decision has been taken under the Staff Welfare Benefits Rules. This will include MD, Executive Director. The new rule is effective from april 1, 2022.

The bank has 4 executive directors. Along with this, its Chief General Managers will get Rs 50,000 annually and General Managers will get Rs 40,000 annually for mobile handsets. In 2020, the bank had bought 3 luxury cars audi for top executives. Under the new rule, now CGM will get a car worth Rs 15.50 lakh. Earlier it was Rs 12 lakh limit. Whereas GM has been increased from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 11.50 lakh car.

 

The Finance Ministry said that illegal publication of import-export data would be a crime. However, a person committing such an offense can avoid trial by paying a settlement amount of one lakh rupees.

Section-135AA has been added in the Customs Act in the Budget 2022-23. Under this, unauthorized publication of price or quantity information relating to import or export shall be a compoundable offence. It can be punishable with imprisonment of up to six months or a fine of Rs 50,000.
