How Rs.500cr liquor sold during Onam?

The kerala State Beverages Corporation (BEVCO) has the highest sales during onam week. About one-tenth of the annual sales so far has been during the onam week only. In the state, one of the major income sources is BEVCO. It is estimated that around Rs 500 crore worth of liquor has been sold out during this week as per few reports. The exact number is yet to be officially announced. State Govt also provided e-booking for easy transactions.
On the first day, about 400 individuals used the online booking service. The facility has been made up to purchase liquor from establishments on Pazhavangadi Road in thiruvananthapuram, Pavamani Road in kozhikode, and kochi Market Road in Kochi. Liquor was sold online in kozhikode for Rs 96,980, kochi for Rs 67,800, and thiruvananthapuram for Rs 60,840.
