NSE Issues Warning on Fake Video.!

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has issued a warning to investors regarding the circulation of a deepfake video featuring its CEO, ashish Kumar Chauhan, promoting investments in shares. In a press release, NSE disclosed that the video has been created using advanced technology to mimic Chauhan's voice and facial expressions, alongside the NSE logo. 

NSE strongly advised investors against trusting such audio-visual content and emphadata-sized that any official communication from the Exchange will be disseminated through its official channels, including its website (www.nseindia.com) and verified social media handles (@NSEIndia on Twitter, @NSEIndia on Facebook, @nseindia on Instagram, and @NSEIndia on YouTube).


Furthermore, NSE urged investors to scrutinize the source of all communications and verify the authenticity of information purportedly coming from the Exchange. It cautioned against relying on fake videos or information disseminated through unauthorized mediums. NSE clarified that its employees are not authorized to provide stock recommendations or engage in share transactions.


The Exchange has taken steps to request the removal of these objectionable videos from various platforms and urged investors to monitor their social media accounts closely. Additionally, investors are encouraged to cross-check any information received from NSE by visiting its official website.
