The delhi high court has said that twitter is not taking strict action against objectionable posts on Hindu deities.
The delhi high court on monday imposed a class on twitter for not taking voluntary action against an account that allegedly published objectionable content about a Hindu goddess on Twitter. In this case, a bench headed by Justice Acting Vipin Sanghi is hearing the issue of an alleged objectionable post on Maa kali by 'Atheist Republic'. court raised questions on twitter Regarding objectionable remarks against Devi, the court directed twitter to explain how the company blocks twitter accounts. The court has said that they have examples of some persons being blocked. The court said that if such an incident had happened in relation to any other religion, then the social media platform would have been more careful and sensitive, whereas now they have not done anything like this.

Justice Chawla, the judge of the bench, said, "It is a strange situation that you will block people whose content you feel sensitive about. You are not worried about the sensitivity of people in other areas of the world. We can say that if such things are done in relation to other religions then you will be more careful more sensitive.
Twitter said, "Cannot block any person and take action against allegedly objectionable material in the absence of a court order."
At the same time, on this issue, the court has further lambasted twitter and said, "If this is the argument then why have you blocked               Mr.(Donald) Trump?" The court has rejected this argument of not blocking Twitter's account. At the same time, in this case, Central Government's lawyer Harish Vaidyanathan said that there is a process to block the twitter accounts against which complaints are received. The court has directed twitter, the central government as well as the Ethist Republic to file their replies.
