'Love Jihad' in Beauty Parlours? Muslim Men Should Be Banned?
Dinesh Falahari, head of sri krishna Janmabhoomi Sangharsh Nyas, accused Muslim men working at women's beauty parlors of being part of an "international conspiracy" in a letter to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath. The letter, dated april 11, stated that "They (Muslim men) wear 'kalawa' (sacred thread) and apply 'tilak' on forehead...they cajole Hindu girls and marry them, to later sell them in foreign countries," Falahari said.
Additionally, he accused these beauty parlors of being involved in the "rising incidents of love jihad" and called for sanctions against them for hiring Muslim men.
Right-wing groups frequently use the term "love jihad" to accuse Muslim males of using marriage as a ruse to get Hindu women to convert to Islam.
Falahari's demands have also received support from several local seers.
According to Swami Shatmitranand, a seer from Vrindavan, "to check the cases of love jihad, an inquiry should be initiated and stern action be taken against those beauty parlors where a heretic mindset is working."
Dasi ram ki According to Yugeshwari Devi, beauty salons shouldn't hire Muslim men since they "adopt" Hindu names and behaviors in order to "trap Hindu girls."
Women were instructed to "prefer dressing up at home" by another seer, ram Das ji Maharaj.
