The fire from the tanker lorry mishap caused extensive damage including to a nearby showroom under construction in tamil Nadu's Cuddalore district.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and battled the flames for over two hours before bringing the situation under control.The fire caused extensive damage, including to a nearby showroom under construction. Among the injured were the tanker driver and two painters working at the showroom, reported IANS. All three sustained serious injuries and were immediately taken to Cuddalore government Hospital for treatment.
The authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash and assess possible safety lapses.

In a separate incident in january this year, a tanker carrying 18 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) detached from a truck while moving on a flyover in Coimbatore, sparking safety concerns among the people and authorities. The detachment led to a minor gas leak, prompting swift intervention from emergency teams.As a precautionary measure, officials ordered the closure of 37 educational institutions near the accident site and advised residents to avoid the area until the situation was fully contained. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and authorities managed to control the leak before it escalated into a major hazard.
