The maha Kumbh mela ended in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Devotees thronged in large numbers on the last day, Wednesday. As it was the last day and the maha Shivaratri festival also coincided, the Triveni Sangam ghats were filled with Shivanamasmaranam. In this sequence, the government said that a record number of devotees took a bath in the maha Kumbh Mela! Devotees reached the ghats in large numbers from midnight to perform the last Amritsnanam in the maha Kumbh Mela. On the occasion of the shiva temple festival, the police have made tight security arrangements at the five main shiva temples in the Kumbh mela area. This grand event lasted for 45 days and ended yesterday.
The maha Kumbh mela, which began on january 13 and continued for 45 days with processions of naga saints and three Amrit baths, ended peacefully. According to government statistics, a total of 66.21 devotees took holy baths. Adityanath supervised the event from 4 am on the last day along with the officials. Responding on the occasion, the UP cm said that the event was successfully completed under the auspices of prime minister Narendra Modi with the blessings of Akharas, saints, and Mahamandaleshwar. He conveyed his best wishes to all the devotees who were a part of this maha Kumbh mela that will go down in history. The very rare maha Kumbh mela, which comes once in 144 years, ended yesterday and the discussion about when it will happen again naturally came to the fore. However.. this maha Kumbh mela will be held again in the year 2169. Whereas.. before that, this maha Kumbh mela was held in 1881. That is.. future generations will be a part of this great event.
Now.. it is known that a tragic incident also took place in this maha Kumbh Mela. The UP government has revealed that 30 devotees have died in a stampede due to crowd during the second Amritsnanam on january 29. It has been revealed that some more devotees have been injured. This tragic incident has sparked a serious political uproar. It is known that Bhutanese king Jigme Khesar Wangchuck, President Dauphi Murmu, prime minister Narendra Modi, along with several Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of several states, industrialists, sportsmen, film stars, and celebrities from various fields participated in this grand event and took holy dip.
