Former prime minister manmohan Singh died on thursday at the age of 92. ncp (SP) President sharad pawar expressed grief over his demise. He shared a picture with Singh on the social media platform X and described him as a global leader. sharad pawar was the Agriculture minister for 10 years during manmohan Singh's tenure. He said, "It is very sad to know about the demise of manmohan Singh. Our country has lost one of its greatest economists, a visionary reformist and a global statesman."

Pawar said, "His departure is an unbearable loss - he was a divine soul, a symbol of humility, tolerance, tolerance and compassion. As the architect of India's economic reforms, his legacy will always inspire generations to come. May his soul rest in peace.''

Supriya Sule, ncp (SP) mp from Baramati and daughter of sharad pawar, said, ''Deeply saddened by the demise of former prime minister Dr. manmohan Singh. His visionary leadership and unwavering dedication led india forward in crucial times. He shaped the progress of our nation with wisdom and humility. His contribution will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in peace.''

manmohan Singh was admitted to delhi AIIMS on thursday (26 December) after his health deteriorated. AIIMS said in a bulletin, ''He was undergoing age-related medical treatment and he suddenly fainted at home. Efforts were made to revive him at home immediately. He was brought to delhi AIIMS at 8.06 pm. Despite all efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9.51 pm.''
