It has been reported that Elon Musk's The Boring Company is planning to build tunnels under the sea and provide transportation. This tunnel is said to be 3,000 miles long, i.e. 4800 kilometers long. Elon Musk's dream is to build this tunnel under the Atlantic Ocean and run high-speed trains in it. This will reduce the travel time between the united states and britain to just one hour. Currently, it takes 8 hours to travel from the US to the UK by plane. Elon Musk had previously abandoned this project due to the lack of sufficient technology to build such tunnels. But now his Boring Company has brought various new technologies in building tunnels. So he has taken up this dream project again.
Elon Musk has said on his X site that the budget for building tunnels will also be reduced a thousand times with these new technologies. Elon Musk has decided to operate these high-speed trains based on the technology called Hyperloop. According to this, trains can be operated at a speed of 3000 miles per hour. However, experts say that building a 3,000-mile tunnel under the Atlantic Ocean is very challenging. First, they say that many geological challenges must be overcome to build a tunnel under the sea. In addition, Hyperloop technology is still in experimental stages and there is no evidence that it has been successful. They also warn that this new project to build a tunnel under the sea and run high-speed trains in it will cause major damage to marine life.
