The photo was posted by an X handle that claimed that rahul gandhi was pictured with Courney's wife. The caption goes on to claim that the photo shows that congress is connected to Christian evangelical groups that carry out religious conversions.

The india Herald discovered that the woman in the widely shared image is not Anusha, the wife of American missionary Daniel stephen Courney. anusha Pullaiah, a member of the congress in karnataka, is the woman in the picture.
