Another Tragedy Strikes Disha Patani
Jagdish Singh Patani, the father of actor Disha Patani, lost a total of ₹25 lakh rupees in a recent fraud in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. A group of five con artists defrauded her father, a former Deputy Superintendent of police, by promising him a high-level government job because of their "alleged" connections in the government. The prospect of high-profile roles, like chairman or vice-chairman of a government committee, enticed Jagdish Patani.
After handing the con artists ₹5 lakh in cash and ₹20 lakh via bank transfer, he challenged them after receiving many threats in exchange. Four of the offenders have been recognized by the police as Shivendra Pratap Singh, Diwakar Garg, acharya Jayaprakash of Juna Akhara, and Preeti Garg; one is yet unidentified.
