Period Concept Is Very Challenging Says Director Pradeep
For any technician, working on a television show or movie with a historical theme is always difficult. "Bringing the intended content to the screen is never an easy process, and every detail needs to be handled with the utmost care," director pradeep Maddali explains. This youthful director, who is well-known for his popular online series Sarvam shakti Mayam, is currently in charge of the web series Vikatakavi, which is produced by the driven producer Ram Talluri under the auspices of SRT Entertainments. megha akash and naresh Agastya play the main characters in the series.
Beginning on november 28, Vikatakavi will be available for streaming in telugu and tamil on the well-known over-the-top platform ZEE5. This time, the project's director, pradeep Maddali, offered some fascinating details. He disclosed, "I was initially told the story of Vikatakavi by writer Teja Deshraj, who collaborated with Prashanth varma on movies like A! and Kalki, and asked if I would be interested in directing it." The fact that it was a period series persuaded me to start reading it right away since I adored the plot. Since the plot of this series has several layers, it has been a novel experience for me as a filmmaker.

"We were fortunate to have a fantastic team," pradeep explains. Everyone put their all into this project and produced amazing work, including Shoeb's cinematography, ajay Arasada's music, and Kiran's art direction. To enhance realism, we incorporated actual places like the Aluminum Factory and Ramoji Film City. With megha akash as his co-star, naresh Agastya plays the title part brilliantly in this debut detective series based in Telangana.

The filmmaker uses tenali Ramakrishna, one of the Ashtadiggajas (eight great poets) of the Vijayanagara Empire, to explain the title, Vikatakavi. In addition to being a poet, tenali worked as a spy for king Sri Krishnadevaraya, helping to keep the realm safe from the Bahmani Sultanate. "We chose the title Vikatakavi because our protagonist has Tenali-inspired traits," pradeep continues.
