Deadly Surprise for the Man Who Brought Fresh Cauliflower - BEWARE
Many people only give veggies a quick water rinse before cooking, but this is insufficient, particularly when it comes to cauliflower. Even while you may already be aware that there are worms within, cauliflowers can sometimes harbor more harmful organisms.
• Always purchase fresh cauliflower; stay away from ones that have obvious blemishes or other damage.
• To check for worms, which are usually light green and hard to see, cut the cauliflower into little florets and scatter them around.
• Put the florets in a basin with water, season with salt, and bring to a boil for one to two minutes. Worms are eliminated, and pesticide residues are decreased.
• After boiling, submerge the florets in freezing water for one minute to preserve their texture. After cleaning, put the cauliflower in the fridge in a plastic bag to be used later.
