Several American women expressed disappointment with the election results shortly after Kamala harris conceded defeat to President-elect donald trump on Tuesday. The 'Sex Strike', as it is known in South Korea, was a protest by feminists after trump won a landslide win. In the middle to late 2010s, the Korean feminist movement gained international attention.
What is 4B?
The movement is dubbed 4B because the letter "B" in Korean means "no," and the movement demands a string of "nos." No sexual relations. Don't date. No marriage. No children. Young women in the US have been demonstrating resistance to what the organization describes as a conversational political atmosphere and the erosion of reproductive rights on social media platforms, which has helped the campaign gain traction.
What Does It Mean For American Men?
Liberal women in the US now seem to be fully committed to a 4B movement, venting their annoyance on social media. In response to Republican Trump's proposal to outlaw abortion, the women have called for a "boycott" of any males who supported him. The women who are protesting have promised to "punish" the males for allowing trump to take the white house by not having sex with them for the next four years. The ladies want to abstain from sex to change the balance of power between the sexes, according to a Telegraph article. "As a woman, my bodily autonomy matters and this is my way to exercise sovereignty over that," a lady stated in a TikTok video.
Therefore, I strongly advise any other unmarried women who are still committed to advancing women's rights and fighting for our bodily autonomy to follow suit. Get rid of your dating apps. As another TikTok user mockingly laughed, "All I have to say is good luck getting laid," others added. "Especially in Florida, because I and my girlies are participating in the 4B movement."Young men expect sex, but they also want us to not have access to abortion," Michaela Thomas, a 21-year-old artist from Georgia, told The Washington Post.
