On social media site X, many were upset about the new fee. Many are also registering that they will no longer order food on zomato and Swiggy. Many shared their grievances online blaming both companies.  "Earlier food orders were delivered without any extra charges. But now additional charges like GST taxes and platform charges are payable for packing and delivery," X posted on the site. "I think it's time to stop using apps like zomato, Blinkit, and swiggy as they keep costing us more. It makes customers feel unfair. These extra charges are a scam," said another user. "If you want to order food using an app, you have to pay more for the food and also pay for the app, restaurants also have to pay to use the app, sometimes eating food from restaurants is not healthy for you," another user posted. "Food ordering apps swiggy and zomato may soon charge more for using the app than for delivery," one posted.
