Cinema Lost and Politics Win!

The legend of Maula Jatt was scheduled to open in indian theaters for the first Pakistani film to be released in thirteen years. Nevertheless, the fawad khan film may never see the light of day in india due to fierce resistance. Zee Studios released the highly acclaimed and well-received 2022 Pakistani film in india on october 2nd. The Censor Board and the indian government approved the movie, yet it caused a stir.

Political groups protested the distribution of the film and even threatened actions against the venues where it would be exhibited. raj Thackeray, the leader of the maharashtra navnirman sena (MNS), said that the film will not be shown in his state. According to Thackeray, the movie's release so close to the navratri celebration will fuel unrest throughout the nation. In addition, he asked the government to implement a statewide ban, pointing out that pakistan had similarly restricted indian films.

Viewing films from many cultures and locations is highly demanded in both nations. But in light of Thackeray's comments, the movie's premiere might prompt questions about the security and safety of theatergoers and staff. It is a regrettable occurrence that movies, which are supposed to be universal, are being harmed by political unrest.
