Samples of Ayodhya Ram Temple 'Prasad' Sent for Testing
The samples were taken from Haiderganj, where the cardamom offerings are prepared, and have been sent to the jhansi State Laboratory for thorough testing and evaluation. Prakash Gupta, an officer with the ram temple trust, noted that around 80,000 packets of cardamom seeds are distributed daily as sacred offerings.
This scrutiny comes amidst controversy over the alleged use of animal fat in laddus at the tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh. In response, the chief priest of the ram temple has raised concerns about the purity of ghee sold across the country, advocating for 'prasad' to be prepared only under the supervision of temple priests.
