Hezbollah drone chief killed as Netanyahu vows to strike Lebanon with full force
The US and european authorities had been lobbying for a temporary cease-fire in order to prevent an all-out conflict, but Netanyahu's position dashed their hopes.
Israel killed Mohammed Hussein Surour, a prominent Hezbollah leader, on thursday by carrying out an attack in Beirut.

Prominent diplomats, such as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Mideast envoy Brett McGurk, are now in talks with Israeli authorities to discuss the proposed truce.
• Lebanese Foreign minister Abdallah Bou Habib asked for a quick ceasefire during a General assembly meeting, stating that the crisis is "threatening the very existence" of Lebanon.
• Hezbollah drone commander Mohammed Hussein Surour was killed in a "precise" hit on Beirut, according to an announcement made by israel that the terrorist organization subsequently verified. The Lebanese health ministry reports that at least two people died and fifteen people were injured as a result of the strike.
• Hezbollah fired around 45 rockets into northern israel on thursday in retaliation to Israeli attacks; all of the missiles were either intercepted or fell into uninhabited regions.
