Indian Railways announced that it will soon release a recruitment calendar
Vaishnav explained that the recruitment process will be divided into four quarters, each focusing on different categories of employment. The first quarter, from january to March, will be dedicated to hiring loco pilots. This structure means that vacancies will be announced each quarter, allowing candidates to data-align their preparation with the calendar.
Facing criticism related to recent rail accidents, Vaishnav emphadata-sized that railways are essential to the country and should not be subjected to political disputes. He acknowledged that some concerning details have emerged from recent incidents, but assured that thorough investigations are being conducted.
Vaishnaw further stated that railways and defense should remain free from political issues, and that efforts should be focused on maintaining efficient train services. He also mentioned that over the past year, the Railways has expanded its network by 5,300 km and that the average construction speed has increased from four kilometers per day a decade ago to 14.5 kilometers per day. All approved railway projects are expected to be completed within the next five years.
