Traffic woes in Hyderabad IT corridor - TGSRTC introduces new bus routes
Over the past six months, the telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has added several new bus routes in the Information technology (IT) Corridor to help software employees and other residents with traffic problems. It came about as a consequence of in-depth studies that were carried out to learn about travel patterns, demand, and requirements at bus stops, metro stations, and companies along the western corridor.
Several significant bus routes were launched along the IT Corridor by TGSRTC as part of their aim to alleviate traffic congestion. The miyapur to Narsingi route, which passes through Kothaguda, Gachibowli, and Allwyn "X" Road, is one of the busiest. Every fifteen minutes, buses on this route go to Gachibowli and Narsingi, providing transportation for software workers living in miyapur, BHEL, Hafeezpet, and the nearby districts.
The TGSRTC increased the number of buses on routes that connected bachupally, pragathi Nagar, and miyapur after seeing the potential for commuter traffic in these regions. Furthermore, air-conditioned bus services were launched on lines that connected Mehdipatnam to Gopanpally via Nanakramguda and Wipro, and bachupally and Waverock via JNTU and Mindspace. bus riders' constant demand prompted the deployment of these AC buses.
User choice is the primary obstacle in these areas, where rtc faces fierce competition from taxis, autorickshaws, metro, and bike rental companies. Rather than waiting for a bus, commuters frequently choose to take the next available transportation. In addition, TGSRTC started operating "Cyber Liners," or tiny buses, from Raidurg metro station to the recently opened US embassy. Additionally connecting the station to Waverock, DLF, and GAR are these Vajra AC minibusses, which provide a last-mile connection for workers in the IT Corridor.
