Despicable Me 4 Movie Review - MINIONS Hits all the Right Notes

SIBY JEYYA
In DESPICABLE ME 4, a guy tries to keep his family safe. Gru (Steve Carell) goes to his old institution, Lycée Pas Bon, for the reunion celebration of his 1985 class. But Gru hasn't just gone to hang out and socialize with his peers. The Anti-Villain League (AVL) dispatched him there to capture Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell), who has turned into an insect and is plotting horrible things. After much struggle, Maxime is apprehended by Gru, the Minions, and avs authorities. Maxime escapes from a high-security jail while being held there.
He threatens to exact revenge on Gru and his family before making his getaway. Steve Coogan plays retired avs director Silas Ramsbottom, who is summoned back for this assignment and requests that Gru and his family relocate to a safe house in the affluent, tranquil hamlet of Mayflower. Gru is given a new identity and line of work, as is his wife Lucy (Kristen Wiig), and the children. They find it difficult to adapt to their new environment. Aspiring evil Poppy Prescott (Joey King), Gru's neighbor, discovers him and begins using blackmail to get what she wants. However, Maxime is doing all in his can to locate Gru. The remainder of the movie is based on what occurs afterward.

Chris Renaud's guidance is straightforward and provides a number of advantages. First of all, despite just having 95 minutes of running time, there is a lot going on in the movie. Several tracks are playing at once: Gru is attempting to fit in with his new community, Maxime is attempting to find him, the kids are getting used to their new lives, Lucy is having trouble at work, the neighbourhood child is adding to Gru's problems, etc. Additionally, there is a track of the Minions on top of it. Actually, the story isn't really driven by the latter. Nevertheless, they are the driving force behind this series and help make it successful. Some sequences are more memorable than others, such as Gru's vehicle robbery in the second part, Lucy chasing him in the supermarket, Maxime's imprisonment, etc.
As one may anticipate, Steve Carell's narration is really amusing. Joey king is next, then Will Ferrell. stephen Colbert (Perry Prescott), Kristen Wiig, and Chloe Fineman (Patsy Prescott) all perform admirably. Sofía Vergara, who plays Valentina, falls short of expectations; she barely gets any lines. And lastly, Pierre Coffin's voice for the Minions is just too endearing. 'Double Life' is one of Pharrell Williams's funkiest songs. The background music by Heitor Pereira raises the enjoyment value. The creators even worked on the 3D aspect, and the animation is excellent.

Overall, DESPICABLE ME 4 delivers the Expectations and Minions Hits all the Right Notes
