Yellow alert for rains in Telangana over next three days

On sunday evening, the state was hit by moderate to intense rainfall. There were significant downpours in West Hyderabad, which extended to Punjagutta, Begumpet, Mehdipatnam, Rajendranagar, Old City areas, Secunderabad, Uppal, Nagole, Dilsukhnagar, Tirumalgiri, and surrounding areas. Other areas affected included Miyapur, Kukatpally, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Hitec City, Kondapur, Raidurg, Shaikpet, Tolichowki, jubilee hills, Banjara Hills, and surrounding areas.
 

Vikarabad had the most rainfall (51.3%), followed by nirmal and nizamabad (46.3%) and khammam (36.5%) on a state-wide basis, according to the TGDPS. With 15.3 mm of rainfall, Begumpet had the most in the city, followed by malkajgiri (11.8 mm) and jubilee hills (14.5 mm).
 
In addition to other locations, the districts of Mahbubnagar, nizamabad, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Narayanpet, and Vikarabad also had light to moderate showers and thunderstorms.
 
For the next three days, a yellow signal has been issued for light to moderate rain and thundershowers, with strong surdata-face winds reaching speeds of up to 30 to 40 kmph in various parts of Telangana.
 

The city will have light rain or thundershowers in the evening or at night throughout the next 48 hours. With surdata-face winds of 8–12 kmph and a relative humidity of 82%, the maximum and lowest temperatures are probably going to be about 330°C and 250°C, respectively.
