Anushka Shetty Suffering from a Rare Disease

Anushka Shetty has been battling an uncommon hereditary disorder that, once it sets in, causes her to giggle uncontrollably. She said in an open interview that she suffers from a problem that prevents her from stopping to laugh for 15 to 20 minutes after she starts. I've found myself laughing so hard on set during comedic sequences that I've had to stop recording.
This illness, known as pseudobulbar affect (PBA), results in untimely and unexpected outbursts of laughter or tears. These outbursts frequently result from underlying neurological conditions or brain traumas rather than being consistent with an individual's true feelings. Because PBA episodes can happen suddenly and last longer than the triggering event, medical professionals are aware of the difficulties in treating PBA. They can have a big effect on day-to-day living, causing social disengagement, anxiety, and humiliation.

Although the precise cause of PBA is yet unknown, it is thought to be related to disturbances in the brain circuits that control emotions. At the moment, PBA therapies focus more on symptom relief than full recovery. Medications such as antidepressants, taken in small quantities, can help lessen the frequency and intensity of weeping or laughing fits. For anushka shetty, managing her illness requires constant care and assistance to enhance her quality of life.
