Telangana Hyderabad - Scattered heavy rains bring relief amid Monsoon Break

After a week of increasing temperatures and sporadic showers, along with a brief respite in the monsoon, hyderabad saw torrential rain and thunderstorms on Monday, flooding numerous low-lying districts. However, the intense rains brought much-needed respite from the oppressive heat throughout the day, which was accompanied by greater humidity levels—90% on Monday.
 

At 7 p.m. on Monday, the telangana Development and Planning Society reported the maximum rainfall of 58 mm in Golkonda, followed by Asif nagar with 57 mm, Khairatabad with 52.5 mm, and Shaikpet with 46.8 mm. Rainfall of up to 30 mm was reported in some sections of the city. Significant hailstorms were also recorded at Serilingampally, Miyapur, and kukatpally in the city.
 

People in hyderabad had to data-face a scorching Monday, with highs of 38 to 39 degrees Celsius lasting till 3 pm. But in the evening, the clouds opened up and brought with them powerful, dispersed downpours to several locations. The india Meteorological Department – hyderabad (IMD-H) reports that the city's maximum temperature was 35.9 degrees Celsius and its lowest temperature was 26.1 degrees Celsius.
 

Although meteorologists confirm that the rainy season has finished, torrential downpours are not expected to continue. Rainfall is yet anticipated to occur more often than it did the week before. High temperatures and humidity are predicted over the next three days, with sporadic, strong thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Across telangana, various districts including Rangareddy, yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Khammam, adilabad, Kumuram bheem Asifabad, Siddipet, and medak experienced scattered moderate to heavy rains. Shankarapally in Rangareddy recorded particularly heavy rainfall at 73 mm.
