SIBY JEYYA
To maintain food safety regulations, Telangana's Commissioner of Food and Safety has launched a series of rigorous inspections at different institutions. The task force team thoroughly inspected Blinkit Warehouse in Devar Yamjal, medchal Malkajgiri District, on june 5, 2024.

This operation transpired shortly after a comparable raid that took place on june 4, 2024, at Halo Cocktail Bar and Kitchen in Jubilee Hills. The inspections are a component of a larger effort to guarantee the region's public health and safety.

Several serious infractions were found during the Blinkit Warehouse inspection. The location was discovered to be extremely disorganized, with dusty and unclean storage racks. Worrisomely, no one with FOSTAC training was on site, and food handlers were seen working without the necessary safety equipment, including aprons, gloves, and helmets. In addition, the food handlers' medical fitness certifications were noticeably missing, which raised serious questions about the workers' health and safety as well as the safety of the food items.

A major infraction of safety laws was committed when cosmetic goods were kept next to food items, which is another infraction on the list. Discrepancies in Whole Farm Congruence Trade and services Pvt Ltd's licensing were also discovered during the examination; the label's address did not match the FSS Act's specifications. Consequently, a notification will be dispatched to tackle this matter.

During the operation, expired items worth Rs. 30,000 from Kamakshi Foods were discovered, including Suji, raw peanut butter, Maida, Poha, Besan, and Bajra. Additionally, samples for laboratory examination were supplied together with suspected contaminated Whole Farm Ragi flour and Toor dal valued at Rs. 52,000.

Similar hygienic and safety procedural violations were found when the crew examined the Central Kitchen of the swiss Castle Bakery in uppal on june 2, 2024. These raids highlight how strict adherence to food safety regulations is necessary to safeguard the health of consumers.

The task force's conclusions should serve as a warning to all local enterprises involved in the food industry. Notifications will be sent out, and depending on the compliance answers and laboratory findings, additional action will be taken. The government's dedication to ensuring that food safety regulations are properly followed in order to protect the public's health and welfare is demonstrated by the continuous inspections.
