Hema Malini, a member of parliament for the bharatiya janata party (BJP) and candidate for the lok sabha from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, declared on friday that she would win by a margin of more than six lakh votes. Hema Malini also complimented Union home minister amit shah, UP chief minister Yogi Adiyanath, and prime minister Narendra Modi for their contributions to the nation. While polling is taking place in a number of important indian seats, Malini expressed confidence in her chances of winning the election.

We were doing well already, but we would be performing twice as part of the "gathbandhan," she told the news agency ANI.
