Telangana Hyderabad - Several electric poles, trees uprooted due to rain and strong winds

On Saturday, the city saw a torrential downpour and high gusts that damaged electric poles and shut out electricity to numerous regions. electrical outages caused by fallen tree limbs on electrical cables caused darkness to descend upon many places.
 
Power authorities said that the rain and strong winds in the city caused many trees to be uprooted and around 22 electric poles to sustain damage. Tree branches that fell on the power lines in Kondapur, Rajendranagar, Kandukur, Saroornagar, Saifabad, Azamabad, and charminar neighborhoods briefly disrupted the electricity. Strong gusts and rain also caused minor disruptions in 11 KV feeds.
 

When tree branches fell on power lines and caused power outages, the power authorities responded quickly, restoring electricity to the majority of affected areas in less than an hour. Power officials implemented preventive shutdowns in areas that were flooded. In numerous sections of the city, high winds had uprooted trees and left hoardings all over the roads.
 
"This morning, rain caused minor disruptions for customers in several areas of Greater hyderabad city. Tree branches fell on power lines, remnants of banners and moths fell, and poles were broken." Energy minister Mallu bhatti vikramarka shared on social networking site "X" that "staff members and officials working in the field of electricity were promptly notified, fixed the issues, and brought back the supply."
