Telangana Hyderabad - Bairagiguda Residents Don’t Get Water but Bills

Numerous residents in Bairagiguda near Narsingi and its environs who do not have a water connection were given consumer account numbers (CANs) by the BRS government, who then started billing them for water that was never delivered. The Outer Ring Road (ORR) phase II drinking water project increased the number of connections by adding these water bills that were just on paper.

Many homes outside of ghmc and inside ORR boundaries, according to the BRS administration, have access to drinking water hookups. Residents in these CAN regions, who are about to experience a sweltering summer, are hopeful that the state government would provide drinking water to their colonies—at least for the time being. Ironically, despite the lack of a drinking water supply, many households paid their water bills in unison for months in the belief that they would eventually receive that service.

According to sridhar Reddy of BMR Vishnupuri neighbourhood in Bairagiguda, "I ask the authorities to guarantee the supply of drinking water as the pressure from the borewell has been drastically decreasing since last month."

Another shiva Sai community homeowner discussed the problem with 2BHK homes. Despite possessing the allocation document, our domestic assistant is not permitted to move into her two-bedroom home. Many of us still do not have access to water, even after paying our water fees," she said. She said, "Like many others, I assumed that potable drinking water would be supplied within days when CAN and water bills were generated ahead of the assembly polls."
