Telangana Hyderabad - Water crisis grips Manikonda residents

SIBY JEYYA
Manikonda locals are dealing with a serious water crisis as a result of declining water supplies and rising water tanker costs. Residents are compelled to pay outrageous sums for private tankers, even though the hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) offers the same amount of water for a fraction of the price.

There have been complaints about the HMWSSB water tankers' delayed delivery; locals claim that reservations frequently lead to a two- to three-day wait before water is delivered. Residents are forced to deal with water scarcity as a result of this delay, which makes the already poor situation worse.

In response, a representative of the HMWSSB gave an assurance that measures were being taken to speed up tanker supplies and that reservations placed on Sundays would guarantee deliveries by Tuesday. Residents emphadata-size that more tankers are needed immediately to keep up with the rising demand. Private tanker operators are reporting that, despite high costs, they are working around the clock to complete orders due to an increase in demand.

People are worried about getting poorer conditions and paying more because summer is almost here. Stay tuned for more updates.
