The visual effects work for global sensation Jr. NTR's newest film, "Devara," is progressing quickly in order to reach the release date. With karan johar releasing the film in Northern circuits, the film, which is scheduled for release on october 10th, is already securing its cinema distribution partners. What then happens to the telugu states?

Two prominent telugu producers, dil raju and Mythri movie Makers, are rumoured to be making every effort to get the movie's theatrical release rights. When it comes to blockbuster films, dil raju is now purchasing the whole theatre rights for every telugu state, instead of just the Nizam and vizag zone like he used to do. Mythri is also attempting to follow suit, aiming to distribute the movie throughout both telugu states instead of focusing just on a few. According to rumours, naga Vamsi of sithara Entertainment is also vying for the rights and is almost done finalising the agreement.

Even in TN, red Giant Movies, prince Pictures and Studio Green are fighting to grab the rights. The makers of Devara are reportedly asking for close to ₹120 crores to sell the theatrical rights, since competition for the rights is intense due to the entry of new companies like Asian-Suresh Babu and others. And if someone purchases the movie at that price, the box office revenue must bring in close to ₹200+ crores for the production to justify the expenditure.
