Telangana - Holiday on April 5th for Jummat-ul-Vida

The last friday of Ramadan, Jummat-ul-Vida, has been declared a holiday by the telangana government. The telangana calendar indicates that april 5 is the designated holiday. The holiday is announced as optional.
 

Prayers in Hyderabad

Thousands of Muslims from all across hyderabad and even some telangana regions come to Makkah Masjid to worship on the occasion of Jummat-ul-Vida. In hyderabad, hundreds of people pray at many mosques besides Makkah Masjid. Additionally, plans will be made for namaz to be said in the mosques.

Jummat-ul-Vida holiday for schools in Telangana

Despite the government's declaration of Jummat-ul-Vida as an optional holiday, Babu Jagjivan Ram's birthday occurs on the same day, thus many schools in hyderabad and other state districts would be closed. The state government has proclaimed a nationwide holiday in honor of Babu Jagjivan Ram's birthday.

The holy month of Ramadan, sometimes referred to as Ramzan, is almost over. Jumat-ul-Wida is the final friday before the opulent Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations begin. Muslims will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, a major Islamic festival, in accordance with the sighting of the crescent moon. Muslims help the poor or give them alms on Jumat-ul-Wida, and they recite the Holy Quran in mosques. Muslims pray that Allah would hear them on this day and provide them pleasure, wealth, and peace.
