Shashi Tharoor’s ‘epiphany’ jibe after Congress fields Sunil Sharma

The congress has nominated sunil Sharma, the director of "Jaipur Dialogues," from rajasthan for the next lok sabha elections. Sharma's candidacy sparked a few questions. On Saturday, thiruvananthapuram MP and senior congress leader shashi tharoor joked that sunil sharma must have had "some sort of Pauline epiphany."
 

"He must have undergone some sort of Pauline epiphany on the road to 24 Akbar! This is just one of several dozen posts from his handle attacking me," Tharoor wrote on X, as he shared a 2021 post from the jaipur Dialogues handle that mocked him and rahul Gandhi.
Notably, jaipur Dialogues is a wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital platform that is popular for its content promoting far-right ideology. It has previously made remarks against Congress.

On Thursday, the congress party revealed its third list, which included sunil Sharma, the platform's director, on it.
 
Kuldeep indora from the Ganganagar district, Sangeeta Beniwal from Pali, Umeda ram Beniwal from Barmer, and urmila Jain Bhaya from the Jhalawar-Baran constituency are among the candidates from Rajasthan. congress, however, has moved to the CPM, a partner of the india alliance, from the Sikar seat.
 
Sunil Sharma stated that the people of jaipur are keen to bring about change in the next elections, following his selection by the congress for the lok sabha elections.
 

It hurts a lot that jaipur was unable to rank among the top 25 cleanest cities in the nation. The inhabitants of jaipur desire change because they believe that if things stay the same, the city would become unlivable. And I think there will be a significant amount of change in this election," he told news agency ANI.
 
Notably, the ruling bharatiya janata party has not yet declared its nominee for the jaipur seat. rajasthan will hold its lok sabha elections in two stages on april 19 and april 26.
