Following the suspension of former US President Donald Trump's twitter account due to alleged violations of Twitter's rules and spreading of hatred, trump launched his own social media platform, "Truth," where he shares his perspectives freely. Recent reports suggest that trump is considering selling "Truth" to Elon Musk, renowned as the head of Tesla, SpaceX, and other prominent companies.

According to an article in The Washington Post, trump and Musk met last summer to discuss various topics, including politics and business. During their meeting, trump reportedly proposed the sale of his social media company, "Truth," to Musk. Despite Musk's denial of attending the meeting, trump confirmed their encounter and acknowledged Musk's longstanding friendship and support during his presidency, albeit noting differences in opinion, particularly regarding electric cars.

In response to The Washington Post's article, Shannon Devine, a representative of Trump's media-technology group, hinted at a potential acquisition of The Washington Post by trump and Musk, sarcastically suggesting that the publication's value had diminished. Meanwhile, "Truth" is reportedly experiencing financial losses since 2022, prompting trump to explore a merger with "Digital World Acquisition Corp," a move recently approved by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The potential sale of "Truth" to Musk signifies Trump's strategic efforts to navigate the challenges data-faced by his social media venture, particularly amid financial setbacks. As discussions progress between trump and Musk, the outcome could have significant implications for both "Truth" and the broader landscape of social media platforms.
