On Tuesday, february 27, prime minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to start his two-day tour of the southern states of tamil Nadu and Kerala. At the vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in thiruvananthapuram, the prime minister will inaugurate three significant space infrastructure projects valued at ₹1,800 crore during his visit. Moid will also assess the Gaganyaan mission's progress. Prior to the prime minister's visit, the thiruvananthapuram police implemented traffic restrictions in the capital of Kerala. The city is subject to restrictions on Tuesdays from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Hindu said on monday that on Tuesday, there will be restrictions on the following roads: Shankhumukham, All Saints, Kochuveli, Madhavapuram, South Thumba, Pattoor, Asan Square, Palayam, Martyrs' Corner, Spencer Junction, and Pulimoodu. On Wednesday, however, traffic laws will also be implemented on the route that starts at the domestic airport and goes through Shanghumughom, All Saints, Chakka, and Eenchakkal roads.

There will be traffic issues on the roads that encircle the city's central stadium and secretariat. According to a report by The New indian Express, parking will not be permitted on these roadways. Passengers heading to the domestic airport in thiruvananthapuram should take the Venpalavattom-Chakkai flyover-Eanchakkal-Kallummoodu-Ponnara bridge-Valiyathura route. According to the report, the city police advised anyone going to the international terminal to use the Venpalavattam, Chakka fly-over, and the Ananthapuri Hospital service road near Eenchakkal.
