The Shambhu Border between punjab and haryana remains tense due to police using tear gas shelling and stone pelting amid the statewide strike called by the protesting farmers' unions. After meeting for a third round of talks on thursday to discuss the farmers' long-standing demands, including the Minimum Support Price (MSP), the protest on friday marked the fourth day that a breakthrough between the administration and the protesting farmers remained to be accomplished. Transportation and agriculture were the two main industries affected by the farmers' call for a Gramin Bharat Bandh.

Urban regions may see shortages of milk and vegetables as a result of the strike, and central trade union participation in the bandh will have an impact on transportation services. if or not local unions are participating in the strike will determine if state buses are available.
