The departure of nitish kumar from the india group is been a setback for the Opposition coalition. But how crucial is Kumar's 'ghar wapasi' to the nda for the 2024 elections? According to political strategist prashant kishor, the "BJP by taking back nitish kumar has gone for a strategy of losing a battle to win a war."

According to prashant kishor, Nitish Kumar's inclusion in the Opposition group was not particularly significant. On his own, he did not contribute anything that would have flipped the tables. However, in terms of perception, some people believed in the strength of the opposition. They saw him as a significant member of the new organisation. By bringing him back, the bjp has adopted a tactic of losing a battle to win a war.

Kishor stated that he did not believe the bjp had re-elected nitish kumar in order to gain seats in Bihar. "By taking one of the architects of the (opposition) alliance out in Bihar, bjp has given a psychological blow to the Opposition," he went on to say. "It is a psychological blow to the Opposition, rather than a genuine win for the BJP. In any case, the bjp held the lead. prashant kishor stated that Nitish's decision to swap sides has dealt a psychological blow to the opposition.

Prashant Kishor also stated that the india bloc may have formed far sooner than it did. "They (opposition parties) understood that the lok sabha elections will be held in 2024. "If they had formed the alliance (INDIA) in 2022 or 2021, they would have had two years to work things out," the poll strategist added.

In a previous interview with AajTak, when nitish kumar took oath as Bihar's chief minister for the record ninth time, prashant kishor projected a "clean sweep" for the BJP-led alliance in the next lok sabha election.

However, he criticised the JD(U) chairman for abandoning the Mahagathbandhan, which includes the RJD and the Congress, and claimed he was "playing the last innings of his life". prashant kishor also stated that the india bloc may have formed far sooner than it did.
