Bengaluru has surpassed delhi to take the lead...?

Bengaluru now has more private cars in india than New delhi, the country's capital, according to a story in The Times of India. About 23 lakh private cars drive in India's Silicon Valley, which frequently sees excessive traffic.

The research claims that delhi has traditionally had the highest percentage of private automobiles. However, in 2023, the number of private vehicles significantly decreased as a result of an order from the delhi Transport Department telling owners of older vehicles to trash and deregister them. There were 79.5 lakh automobiles in delhi as of march 2023, of which 20.7 lakh were private vehicles. Bengaluru has more private automobiles than the national capital, with 23.1 lakh more than that of the former.

Bengaluru was listed as the second most crowded city in the world in 2022 by geolocation technology experts TomTom. In 2022, TomTom reported that a 10-kilometer trip through Bengaluru's downtown took 29 minutes and 9 seconds. With an average time of 36 minutes and 20 seconds to go 6.2 miles (10 km) in the capital city centre in 2022, london comes in first. According to the study, Milan in Italy, Sapporo in Japan, and Dublin, the capital of Ireland, rank third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.

Earlier, DK Shivakumar, the deputy chief minister of Karnataka, stated that a large number of automobiles is a major cause of road damage. "In Bengaluru, almost 2,000 new cars are registered each year," he stated. They naturally become damaged by all the cars that are on the roadways.
