In order to "prepare for the battlefield," the Israeli military has begun conducting quick incursions across the Gaza data-border in advance of an anticipated large-scale ground invasion of the embattled Palestinian territory. During their third raid, Israeli forces engaged Hamas members in combat and targeted anti-tank weaponry.
Arab leaders pleaded together to halt hostilities and the entry of humanitarian supplies into Gaza. Since Hamas carried out the deadly bombing, its cross-data-border rampage, and its hostage-taking, israel has placed an engulfing siege on the enclave by shutting off the supply of water, power, and other necessities. In addition, the european union has demanded "humanitarian corridors and pauses" in the conflict.
The UN representative for palestine begged for an end to the bombings in order to save lives, but israel reaffirmed its determination to "not rest until Hamas is obliterated." During the cross-data-border operations by Hamas, israel suffered 1,400 fatalities and over 200 hostage-takings. Since the conflict started, nearly 7,000 Palestinians have died in Gaza, according to Palestinian health officials.

The Pentagon official confirmed that these troops are not going to israel but rather are supporting regional deterrent efforts and strengthening US force protection capabilities. He did not, however, disclose the precise sites of their deployment.
"I can confirm that since our initial Force posture announcement approximately 900 troops have subsequently deployed or are in the process of deploying to the US Central Command area of responsibility these include forces that have been on prepared to deploy orders and which are deploying from the continental United States," Brigadier General Pat Ryder said in a press conference.
