The madurai branch of the high court has ordered that AITUC union members should not work for more than 8 hours in the State Transport Corporation.

Bodi government Transport Corporation AITUC Secretary Sundar filed a petition in the high court branch: Due to lack of manpower in Dindigul zone in the transport corporation, drivers and conductors are being given 24-hour work on some tracks. As they work 24 hours a day without rest, they are taking a toll both physically and mentally.

Bus in the middle of the road...: Justice L.Victoria Gowri after hearing this petition issued an order: The petitioner union should not be assigned more than 8 hours of work till the end of this case. Don't stop the bus in the middle of the way because the time limit has passed. In this track you have to complete specific tasks. The State Transport Corporation has to respond to the petition. The hearing is adjourned to July 27. Thus the judge ordered.
