$653 Million in Just 10 Days! Spider-Man: Brand New Day Is Making Box-Office History

The real test for a blockbuster isn't whether it explodes on opening weekend. It is what happens after the hype dies down. And Spider-Man: Brand New Day has delivered an answer that should terrify every competing movie in theatres. Tom Holland's latest Marvel outing isn't merely holding on to the No. 1 spot — it is turning its second weekend into another historic box-office massacre.

1. THE SECOND WEEKEND IS ABSURD: Brand New Day is projected to collect a staggering $143 million domestically in its second weekend. That's roughly a 60% drop from its opening frame, but for a movie that opened at gigantic numbers, the decline is almost irrelevant. The result is the third-biggest second weekend in domestic box-office history, behind only Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avengers: Endgame.

2. $653 MILLION IN TEN DAYS: By Sunday, the film is projected to reach around $653 million domestically, giving it the biggest 10-day domestic haul ever. Yes, even Avengers: Endgame's previous benchmark of $621.2 million has been wiped out.

3. SPIDER-MAN HAS JOINED AN ELITE CLUB: Only a handful of movies have ever crossed $100 million during their second domestic weekend. Brand New Day becomes just the eighth — and the first Sony release — to achieve the feat.

4. THE COMPETITION IS GETTING CRUSHED: While Spider-Man dominates, newer releases are fighting for scraps. One Night Only opened around $6 million, while Super Troopers 3 came in below $4 million. The gap is brutal.

5. AND THE SCARIEST PART? THIS RUN ISN'T OVER: With weak competition ahead, Brand New Day has a clear runway. The conversation is rapidly shifting from “Will it be a hit?” to “Just how high can it go?”

At this point, Spider-Man isn't simply winning the box office.

He's rewriting the rulebook.
