Allegations against 'Bournvita'..!? Important announcement..!

The Child Rights Commission has asked the Commission to remove the false advertisements after social media reports that Bornvita is high in sugar. It has become customary to mix nutritional powders like Horlicks and Bournvita with milk for babies. Meanwhile, BournVita, consumed by millions across the country, has been accused of containing harmful ingredients. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) yesterday wrote to the management of Mondelez india International to respond to the allegations as the information went viral on social media.
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has asked the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights to review and withdraw all false advertisements, packaging, and even labels related to milk supplements after complaints that children's health is affected due to the high sugar content of Bornvita. In a notice issued to BournVita, the commission has asked it to provide detailed information about the product 'BournVita' within 7 days. Revant Hamatsinga, who is popular on social media, posted a video saying that Bournvita is high in sugar and that it is more than the recommended amount of sugar for children. It went viral in no time after it was posted. Subsequently, Mandalis india sent a notice to Revant Hamatsingha. Then Rev. Hamatsinga retreated. He also deleted the video he posted. But this information spread rapidly among the people.
Mandalise's product Bornvita has been reported to contain sugar and cocoa solids, carcinogenic artificial colors. In this context, the Child Rights Commission said in its letter that Bornvita failed to display the details of the ingredients in the product as per the guidelines and regulations of the Food Safety Standards Authority of india and the Consumer Protection Act. The company has also directed Mandalis to respond to its letter within a week. An explanation has been provided by the management of Mandalis india last week regarding this matter. In the description, BornVita's product is quality. All quality tests are done and sold properly. All the ingredients in BornVita are quality certified. There is transparency. The video released without basic evidence has undermined the trust we had with people. Appropriate action will be taken against those who spread false information.
