Coronavirus Outbreak in India: New guidelines!!!

PM Modi gave these orders in the review meeting

Earlier in the day, PM narendra modi appealed to people to wear masks in his review meeting. The prime minister has ordered the states to increase the number of booster doses immediately. Apart from this, an order has also been given to keep an eye on the Corona outbreak. Genome sequencing of positive samples has been asked to be done.

Health Ministry has issued travel guidelines

After the PM's meeting, the Union health Ministry issued travel guidelines. At present, these guidelines will be applicable only to international travellers. The new guidelines will be implemented on december 24, but till then at least 2 per cent of the passengers of international flights at airports have been asked to do random RT-PCR tests.

What's in the new international Travel Guidelines?

Only vaccinated travellers will be given entry into the country. Covid protocols like wearing masks and making social distancing will have to be followed.

Passengers with corona symptoms will be seated separately on the flight under standard protocol and will be isolated on landing.

There will be a thermal screening of all passengers after getting off the flight. Random corona tests of 2% of passengers will be done.

Children below 12 years of age will not be included in random sampling, but standard protocol will be implemented if they show symptoms.

It will be the responsibility of the concerned airlines to choose which passengers will be randomly tested. They will be able to go home after giving samples.

On getting the sample positive, the concerned passenger will be isolated as per the protocol. Genome sequencing of the sample will be done.

Passengers returning from abroad, on seeing any symptoms, will go to the nearest health centre and get themselves examined.
