When the tdp leaders from chirala questioned him about the rumours that hitesh might be given the party ticket on thursday at a review of the party from the constituency, Naidu made it clear. He proclaimed that Madduluri Mala Kondaiah, a senior party official appointed to oversee tdp operations in chirala, will represent the party's choice for the seat in the next elections. However, the tdp leader did not completely rule out the idea of hitesh joining the group.
"People from other parties might join the tdp, but they will only have to work for Kondaiah's win," he stated. He denied party rumours that powerful figures from other parties would be handed party tickets for the upcoming elections. Naidu informed them that only those who had put in a lot of effort for the party would receive preference. The tdp president also made it clear that none of the individuals appointed as party in-charges for various constituencies could assume that they would automatically receive tickets for the assembly elections.
